During the year our church celebrates many occasions with special services such at Christmas and Easter. But we also have special services to commemorate Mothers' Day, Remembrance Day etc. Special to our church is the VC Day service to commemorate Sir Charles Lucas, the first person to be awarded the Victoria Cross and who is buried in our churchyard. We also have services aimed at those with special needs such as pet owners and the bereaved and God is thanked for his gifts in nature on our annual Rogation Walk and Harvest Festival.
If you wish to have an extra special service, to celebrate 25 years of marriage for instance, please approach Pat and it can be arranged.
The Special Services
The church has six bells and an active bell ringing group.
Over the year there are many events organised to raise money for the church. The church is not funded from the government or elsewhere and relies solely on voluntary contributions. Please do help if you can by supporting our events and donations.
The church is kept looking extra beautiful by a volunteer rota of fower arrangers. If you love flowers why don't you join the rota? The arrangers are often asked to decorate the church for weddings and at other special occasions.
