2018 marks the centenary of Armistice which ended the First World War...
The Armistice of Compiègne between the Allies and Germany came into effect at 11am on the 11 November 1918.
St Lawrence's Church Remembers...
Churchwarden, Martin Willgoss has cut out 30 silhouette figures of soldiers from plywood - each figure representing one Mereworth man who laid his life down for us during the First World War.
The children at Mereworth school will help paint the men on 3rd September. After this they will be mounted on the pews each side of the aisle of St Lawrence's church. There they will stay as a tribute until 11 day of 11 month 2018.
